STEEL FIXING OCCUPATIONS
The aim of this qualification is to recognise the knowledge, skills and competence of individuals who specialise in steelfixing in the construction industry.
This qualification is relevant to people who wish to develop a career in the construction and built environment sector working in civil engineering. It is designed to give learners the occupational competence required to carry out Steelfixing in Construction, an essential part of building and civil engineering projects in the private or public domain, where steel is required to reinforce and/or underpin at the start of the building process.
Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Specialist Installation Occupations (Construction) qualification provides a nationally recognised qualification for those working in the construction and the built environment sector working across a broad range of areas. They are designed to assess occupational competence in the workplace where candidates are required to demonstrate skills and knowledge to a level required in the construction industry. There are 6 specialist pathways:

CONSTRUCTION PLANT OPERATIONS
The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plant Operations (Construction) qualification provides a nationally recognised qualification for plant operatives following one of 11 Pathways relating to their work roles:
Cranes and Specialist Lifting,Extracting,Excavating,Constructing and Forming,Transporting Loads,Laying and Distributing,Road/Rail,Attachments, In-shore and Marin, Erecting and Dismantling,Road Plant or Machinery
The Level 2 Asbestos Removal for Operatives qualification covers the theory and practice of asbestos removal for workers in the asbestos industry. Candidates will be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills to remove asbestos in a safe and competent manner on site. They will be able to set up enclosures, remove asbestos, package and dispose of the asbestos and perform cleaning and decontamination requirements.
This qualification is appropriate for candidates who may be liable to exposure to asbestos.

OCCUPATIONAL WORK SUPERVISOR
The Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Work Supervision (Construction) qualification provides provides the opportunity for individuals who supervise others in a relevant construction occupational area to demonstrate their competence. There are no entry requirements but you must already be working as a supervisor or assistant site manager in the construction industry.
To successfully achieve each unit you’ll be expected to provide evidence to show you have met the required standard. This may be in the form of direct observation by an assessor, written or verbal tests, assignments or projects, or witness testimony, say from your employer or line manager.
CONSTRUCTION SITE SUPERVISOR
The ProQual Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Supervision (Construction) qualification provides a nationally recognised qualification for those working as a site supervisor or assistant site manager in building and civil engineering, highways maintenance and repair, residential development, conservation or demolition.
